A United Nations initiative that offers a curated selection of online sustainable development learning. UN SDG:Learn helps individuals and organizations make informed selections of SDG-related learning products and services.

UN CC:e-Learn

The One UN Climate Change Learning Partnership is a joint initiative of 30+ organizations. This initiative helps countries achieve climate change action through knowledge and applied skills development. UN CC:Learn provides strategic advice and online learning resources to help people understand and build resilience to climate change.

The UN Institute for Training and Research offers a wide range of activities under their six thematic areas. They provide training and training-related activities; workshops and seminars; briefings; conferences and public lectures; side events; and online courses.

SDG Academy

The Sustainable Development Solutions Network offers 50+ high-quality, free online courses. UNESCO Education for Sustainable Development

UNESCO offers a resource bank for sustainability educators, education planners and practitioners. It offers hundreds of pedagogical ideas for classroom activities.

UN PAN Curriculum Guide on Governance for the SDGs

The UN Public Administration Network’s Curriculum on Governance for the SDGs provides a holistic and integrated framework for acting on and integrating the goals. It promotes a critical understanding of sustainable development issues. It also builds governance skills and helps public servants see how they contribute to the SDGs.

UNESCO Futures of Education

A division of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. This project aims to build a new social contract for education, grounded on principles of human rights, social justice, human dignity and cultural diversity.


SDG Fitness Test

The SDG Fitness Test consists of 24 questions formulated around 4 scenarios. Each scenario puts a learner in a different role in either government, non-profit, private sector, or as an individual citizen. This is a foundational assessment of sustainability competencies.

SDG Impact Assessment Tool

The SDG Impact Assessment Tool is a free online learning tool. It visualizes the results from a self-assessment of how an activity, organization, or innovation affects the SDGs. It aims to help the user understand the complexity of sustainable development and the SDGs.


UN Division for Sustainable Development Goals

The official website for the United Nations Division for Sustainable Development Goals (DSDG) in the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA). This office acts as the Secretariat for the SDGs. This website provides full details on the 17 UN SDGs, their targets and their indicators. It also provides general knowledge on the SDGs, intergovernmental processes for implementing the goals, and the work supporting the goals globally.

UN SDG Indicators

The official website providing information on the development and implementation of an indicator framework for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It is maintained by the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), a division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA).

The Global Goals

The official website for the Global Goals campaign, which works to amplify the 17 UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development (i.e. the SDGs).

UN Global Compact: The SDGs

The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. Its strategy is to drive business awareness and action in support of achieving the SDGs.

European Environmental Bureau’s SDG toolkit

The European Environmental Bureau (EEB) has created an online SDG toolkit. The purpose of this project is to encourage more engagement with the SDGs from civil society organizations. The toolkit contains policy papers, monitoring and review documents, SDG coalition websites, presentations, speaker bios, social media accounts, images, and many other resources

Canada and the SDGs

The Government of Canada’s official webpage providing information about the UN SDGs. It also offers information on actions taken by the government to advance the Goals through dialogue, participation and collaboration.

Community Foundations of Canada’s SDG Guidebook and Toolkit

An SDG Guidebook and Toolkit, created by the Community Foundations of Canada. This package provides an introduction to the SDGs in the context of community foundations and philanthropy. It provides practical examples of SDG-based work in local community foundations. It also offers ideas for aligning current community foundation work with the SDGs.

Sustainable Development Solutions Network Canada

The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Canada is hosted by the University of Calgary. This organization brings together members from all over Canada to support the SDGs. Key focus areas include hosting their annual Together|Ensemble conference and supporting the establishment of SDG Hubs across the network. These Hubs organize on-campus SDG activities, networking opportunities, and initiatives with campus administration.

Canadian Indicator Framework for the SDGs Data Hub

This in-development website serves to report on data related to the 17 UN SDGs in Canada. It tracks the 33 Canadian Ambitions, developed by the Government of Canada to support domestic action for the SDGs through Canada’s national strategy. It also reports on the 86 indicators developed by Statistics Canada to monitor progress on this strategy.
